Stand 2 & 3

I have two books similar colour and used the bottle shapes. But thought this book stand would work for both of the books.

This might be difficult to pick up why there is a huge perfume shape bottle when there is a little perfume shape bottle might not fit together.

I find this might work better maybe if the board had shape bottles on the stand board but this might be to busy.

Book Stand 1

This is one of my book stands. I designed very simple and the same image at the sam place.
It was seemed easy to produce and good idea to exspand with the product. Thinking of doing book marks for them as well to go with a set.

Having the stripe lined up with the book and the image fits well presenting the book and image.

Billboards

To expand my perfume not just book covers but also as billboards. I am also creating book stand which would be presented on book window store.

I think I like all of them in different ways.

Bring back the original image but making it more modern but is recognisable to know what its is because putting the penguin logo.

I like how this is integrate but also simple concept.

I improved this cover by making the typography simple and less decorative so that you can notice the perfume shape in the typography.

Final Product

These are the finished pieces I have created all different from style. I have a crit tomorrow so if there are any changes will be made then that would be a good improvement to my development.

This was to revamp the old book cover of the original image.

I made the title larger to notice the perfume bottle.

This is was design to be more attractive as in illustrative.

Simple back cover is too simple though?

I have printed these photo but the quality of image is a bit dull.

Mock ups

These are my mocks for my Perfume books which I am happy with wanted to make a few changes in layout trying to get it wright.

Book Cover

I have come up with three ideas of layout there are very similar only slight changes.

This is the one I like the most I think balances out like a frame, and it lines up the most.

I slightly moved the spine downwards but I don't think it works as well.

Centring the info make sit look at bit odd and don't think it works aswell in strength and looks slightly lost in concept.
This is now starting to look at how it would work a book.

This is simple layout just having the title in the centre but is a bit plain rather than simple.

Using a more decorative typography could make more interesting and more eye catching. But I think it makes more tacky than anything with using this typography and distracts from the title.which should be the more centred.

Heletevica is a simple typography but could it be too plain?

White doesn't work as background it's way too plain.

I made a mistake on my typography layout it should be starting from the top than rather the bottom. whoops.

This is what it's meant to look like but the title looks too cramped.

This is the one I think works the best, the Authors name is on the left hand side so it fill in the same but I think the typography will need to slightly larger.

simplicity

I have also moved on the simplicity typography for Perfume.

This was another idea of having a collection old perfume bottles.

Again I used the same idea before but improved with using different typography 'ARB-187' This better and suits more than helevetica.

This typography is 'Duvall' but I think it distracts from the rest of the typography. But I think it works as in the round odd curved shapes.

This 'Bambi' typography this makes the perfume image standout.

I have been testing on types of reds and shades as it suit with the murder theme. The darker red works best as blood.

Full Page

This is further development working on the design ideas for front covers and taking it further.

Looking back at the design I think the typography layout and the white transparency don't think it works, it's too classy it doesn't work with a iconic image.

The white and pink it too much and should of kept the grey box.

This suits the concept of the book being dark and voyeuristic. The layout works but would it be better i fit was white box rather than black?

Using original Image

I re-looked at the other designs that did before and produced better versions.

The idea was to use original image and have a white strip wrapped around the book. the typo either is cut out or printed on the paper.

This is the same idea but the white strip printed on the book.

The red stands out but also makes more modern for today to attract the buyer. But the white is harder to read.

The black is too harsh on the red and makes also look tacky.

Grey again make sit look tacky.

The pink makes it subtile and the grey works well in contrast.

The grey transparency also works even more but in contrast between its too subtile . But I might rethink the grey and layout of text.

I don't like the white typography too tacky.

The white box might be too much.
